broken promises...

i rambled something about a social justice and emergents post a few weeks ago, but it never eventuated. fear not! something will come along... sometime.

and jerome will get a muffin.

i got great news this week. i got a scholarship to work at the menzies centre as an undergrad on a molecular biology project next year. there are about 10 scholarships every year i think so i'm pretty stoked to get one. i hope to work there as a real researcher in the future so it's great to get my foot in the door as an undergrad.

it sounds like i'll be looking at leukaemia and specifically a transcription factor that may or may not affect a gene that is linked to leukaemia.

i don't know much about leukaemia but i do know about the lab techniques that we are going to be using so i'm feeling really good about it.
